The Olympic Torch Route - Ripon, Tuesday 19th June

On Tuesday 19th June the Olympic Torch will be passing through Ripon. It has now been officially announced what roads the torch will be carried along. The torch will arrive from Harrogate and start its journey at 16.11 on Studley Road, and below is the rest of the route

16.11 - Starting on Studley Road (B6265) then travel down Mallorie Park Drive and onto Somerset Road, then turn left. Onto Skellgate (traffic light hill) and at the top turn right and head into the Market Place. It will travel around the Market Place down onto Kirkgate and down Duck Hill. At the bottom of Duck Hill the Olympic Torch bearer will turn left onto Skellgarths and then left onto Bedern Bank, passing the Cathedral and heading onto St Mary's Gate. The torch will then travel along Stonebridgegate, turning right onto Rotary Way before stopping at the Ripon Ambulance station wheer it will be convoyed to York.
