  • 20I am writing a book about my life and spent some time in Ripon before emmigrating to Canada. I would like to mention your name in the book if that is okay? How long have you been doing the job? How on earth did you end up doing it in the first place? I really think it's marvelous that the tradition carries on because of lovely people like you. I would like to include your answers in the book as well. TrishWebb@shaw.ca
  • 21A true gentleman on so many levels. We followed him to the Mayor's house to watch the final part of the ceremony and we are so glad that we made the effort to come out, as George put so much effort into the ceremony. Well worth a visit and we will look after out lucky wooden pennies :-)
